Pink Friday 24th October

Every October, we all have a chance to get together in the fight against breast cancer. Pink Day 2014 is happening on the 24th of this month, and the Wear It Pink campaign is the perfect opportunity to get involved!!

So every year Breast Cancer Care asks anyone willing to host a Pink Friday and donate part of the profit to their charity- but you don’t have to be a business! Anyone can do it! So if you think the cause is important go ahead and host your own Pink Friday at work or with your family and friends group.

It’s a sad reality of our day that 1 in 8 women are still being diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetimes. But the shop’s initiative, along with others like it, remind us that we can do a lot of good as a community, as long as we all pull together.

We have so many celebrations and special days during the year that sometimes it’s hard to keep track. That’s not a bad thing- but it’s good to remember what the most important are. So on Friday the 24th of October we’ll be hosting another Pink Friday at the shop to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer!  Why have one every year? The stats say 1 in 8 women in the UK gets diagnosed with breast cancer, with 55 000 cases diagnosed every year (around 400 of these are men).

The S Collins & Son Pink Friday will see 50% of the profit from the selling of selling our *Product of the Week* –  2lb Family Steak Pie for the whole week go to the charity, and you’ll get the great chance to see Stewart & Co sporting bright pink aprons! We had a great time and raised quite a bit of money last year with you support, so come along any day from Monday 20th to Friday the 24th to buy delicious food for a good cause!

So on Friday the 24th, throw on something pink and show your support! After all, look how great those aprons look!!
